Our league is run by a team of volunteers and we always appreciate more help! Volunteering with Harrogate and District Junior Football League offers varied opportunities to suit all interests.
We understand that people have different time commitments and we appreciate any voluntary assistance, no matter how much – or how little – time you can spare.
If you’re taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme, why not complete your Volunteer section with a local football team? We currently have secondary school pupils coaching younger players and assisting with midweek training sessions and weekend matches. As well as contributing to your Duke of Edinburgh Award requirements, volunteering looks impressive on your personal statement when you’re applying for apprenticeships, work or further education.
Some of our volunteers have enjoyed the experience so much that they have gone on to take refereeing qualifications and are now refereeing at junior matches across the league.
We understand that if you are new to the league, you may not wish to take on a full committee role but there are always opportunities to contribute and work with members of our team. We will work with you to find a role that suits your abilities and interests.
